About Me

My photo
This make-up artist and esthetician has a (bordering on unhealthy) addiction to all things beauty! No amount of eyeshadows or cream liners will ever be enough! I go giddy for all things girly. Lipgloss might not be able to heal the world, but it can lift a gal's spirits!

Sun Kissed Skin

Pretty, right? I know we all feel a little sexier, feel a little skinnier when we have a tan. But, it's a deal breaker when it comes to aging. Look at the these identical 61 year old twins. Which one do you think was the sun worshipper?

I use this pic every year in my SPF rants. It's funny, I know. But, the sad fact of the matter is that one burn caused inflammation of Kim's skin tissues & did some serious damage in terms of aging. No matter what time of year it is wear an SPF of at least 30 for me girleens. Pretty please?

I know, I know. They're heavy, they break me out- blah, blah. Today's technology has launched amazing breakthroughs from what we used to use 10 years ago. This Kate Somerville serum sunscreen has an SPF55, is chock full of antioxidants and is noncomedogenic.

Our #1 selling product at the spa is this, Jan Marini's Antioxidant Face Protectant SPF30. To know it is to love it. It's texture is so light weight, it's oil free, yup chock full of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory ingredients. Whatever you use, make a habit of it every day- don't stop at the face, take it down on to your decollete and your hands! I promise my beauties, down the road you'll thank me!
Peace. Love. Protection. (SPF, that is!) M

Just living in Florida has already made me susceptible to aging due to the sun, especially since I'm so pale and burn very easily.

It's a must for me to use multipurpose products & yes there's nothing like a bad sunburn- we've all been there!

Ms. Housewife- in addition to SPF, make sure to eat lots of tomatoes- lycopene strengthens the skin towards the sun!

Have a wonderful New Year darling, cheers: Evi

The Jan Marini line looks great and I love that it's oil-free. I get greasy, so I definitely do not need any extra! I've been using DDF and this formula sounds similar. I may need to try it. There is nothing attractive about premature aging ;)
