About Me

My photo
This make-up artist and esthetician has a (bordering on unhealthy) addiction to all things beauty! No amount of eyeshadows or cream liners will ever be enough! I go giddy for all things girly. Lipgloss might not be able to heal the world, but it can lift a gal's spirits!

Saying Goodbye to 2009

Happy New Years Beauties! As 2009 closes, I feel it only appropriate to say farewell to the products that are no longer with us *sigh . Where does a gal start? First, I noticed my much adored CoverGirl Multiplying Mascara becoming fewer & far between when at drugstores. I lied & told myself everything would be fine, maybe it was a coincidence...Alas, a friend at Proctor & Gamble broke the news that it was being pulled from shelves. I blame myself for not spreading the word about the joy that was this mascara. The countless tubes(stay tuned for my reviews to come) I've purchased since have not met my goldylocks standards. Next, came the devastating blow about my beloved Joey lipliner meeting its demise. The loss of this most perfect of nude shades left me weeping & hugging my few remaining pencils close to my heart. Later, I discovered the entire Joey New York Cosmetic & Skincare Company had gone out of business! Add to the list of companies that will be leaving us? Prescriptives. After being an innovative force in the industry for thirty years, they are officially ceasing production this month. The 3 pans I have left of the delightful Lemondrop shadow will be sparingly applied! I know that when 1 door closes, another opens. But, let us all have a moment of silence for these fallen friends. Have you suffered a recent beauty loss? Do tell. Here's hoping to bigger & better beauty (and health, happiness & prosperity) for 2010!

That is sad news. None of my stuff has gone out yet but I usually stick to more drugstore kinds. Stock up on what you can!

Oh no! I wanted to try the lip treatment and I love my Joey lip pencil. I cannot believe that they're not making it any longer. I actually bought mine from you awhile ago. I'll have to use it sparingly.

Ms. Housewife I'd still stock up on absolute drugstore favorites! Even Max Factor is no longer in the U.S! It's enough to instill panic & lead to bulk purchasing. ha ha

Hi! Random, but I just saw your Christmas comment and the cake balls turned out awesome. Everyone that tried them couldn't get enough. I'm going to have to make more for Valentine's Day!

I am glad that got to try the Joey liner ;)
