About Me

My photo
This make-up artist and esthetician has a (bordering on unhealthy) addiction to all things beauty! No amount of eyeshadows or cream liners will ever be enough! I go giddy for all things girly. Lipgloss might not be able to heal the world, but it can lift a gal's spirits!

Files From The Brow Whisperer

Whenever a new client reaches out to me for an appointment, I ask that they leave their brows alone for at least 2 weeks. I prefer even longer so I have enough to work with in terms of establishing a new shape. This client gave me a great canvas!
This is immediately following waxing while the client is still on my treatment table.  It's a night & day difference after trimming & grooming her brows.
An even better shot looking straight at the eye- see the lift she now has to the eye area. Amazing if I do say so myself;)

Files From the Brow Whisperer

Can you believe Summer is wrapping up? Those past few months where clothes were flowy, make-up was sunkissed & you kind of let things go a bit while letting the sun hit your SPF slathered face...
Let's get you gorgeous & whipped into shape for Fall- shall we? Happy Weekend!

Files From the Brow Whisperer

I've been working with some of my clients for over a decade. Nothing makes me happier than when I get new clients via word of mouth. For a while one of my regulars was saying I just had to get my hands on her friend & that she was going to get her in to see me come hell or high water!
This client's brows had a fair amount of cowlicks & some patchiness in them. I spent some time explaining how important brow gel or even brushing hairspray through her brows would be to keeping her shape in place. I had to even out some natural gaps in her brows,  as she hadn't been waxed in years. I streamlined their overall shape to open up & lift her eyes.

Files From the Brow Whisperer

The way I earned my nickname was from all of the people who came to me after a not so happy previous brow experience at another establishment. I jokingly referred to the condition many of my first clients suffered from as Post Traumatic Brow Experience. I mean it is our face that we're talking about. This client, along with her mother, had been going to someone for years & their brows were getting skinnier & skinnier & further apart.
I explained to this client, as I do with all first time clients- that I need to have something to work with, so put your tweezers down! I know it's hard, but how can I change the shape of your brows when I have no hair to work with? This client said that being that she was Greek, it wouldn't be a problem! Look at that striking brow- I kept the tail full & strong to be conservative on our first visit. She loves her new shape & I was thrilled with the results, too!

Somewhere underneath all that hair is a gorgeous eye just waiting to be seen!
Ahhh that's so much better.

Files From the Brow Whisperer

It's that time of year. When summer comes to a close & droves of clients (new & old) come in to get their brows done before heading back to school. Whether high school or college, every one wants to put their best face forward for the first day of classes! This was a new client who had purposefully let her brows grow in a bit, as she had felt her previous esthetician had made them too skinny.  That is the perfect thing to do for me to have as much as possible to work with in terms of creating a shape.
I made sure to be conservative in what I took off, because she had worked hard to grow them in. I also streamlined them a bit above, as my client had expressed that she felt her brows were too round in our consult prior to the waxing. She was thrilled & though dreading heading back to high school on Monday, will at least be rocking some amazing brows!
