Rachel Abroms started out in the entertainment industry as a casting director. Now she adorns stars with her designs. She has built her brand with stylists all around the globe with these delicate Mad Coin medallion necklaces. They have a lovely a bohemian feel that can be layered or worn alone.

But her line offers so much more depth. I am loving these leather wrap bracelets featuring cool chunks of aqua & blue chalcedony intermingled with chrysoprase.
What can I say? I absolutely heart this piece. It is such statement making power, but is also incredibly elegant.
You know this gal loves anything Fleur de Lis & I love how Rachel combined the medallions with horsebit pieces for a Gucci feel. I'm running out of appendages to accessorize- I love so many of her pieces! Maybe I'll save one or two things for you gals, when we display her collection at our Bubbles & Baubles Event- what can I say? I'm a giver!

Bubbles & Baubles Event

So a week from today will be the first time we've had a jewelry trunk show at the boutique & I'm beyond excited! We always have a great array of accessories on hand, but for the event we will be launching a new line, as well as bringing in several other designers in just for the night. I'm like a kid in a candy store at the moment as I'm dealing with vendors & for the next couple of days I'll be giving you a sneak peek at some of the creations we'll be featuring from the designers. And if you're in the area next Wednesday night, we'd love to see you at the boutique!

Girls Night Out

I went to the cutest SATC 2 themed party over the weekend after seeing the movie. Have you guys seen the movie? I thought it was cute, though it wouldn't win any Oscars! What did you think? Here's the backyard at the party- including a pink runway at the entrance!

The candy bar was so cute & had delicious confections in every shade of , you guessed it- pink!

The night was such a blast complete with a stiletto competition in honor of Ms. Carrie Bradshaw! I met a great group of girls & I think that's why I love SATC so much- it's truly a love story about friendship! Hope you get to see it with an awesome girlfriend!

Crimson & Clover

Last night I had the pleasure of attending the grand reopening of Crimson & Clover Floral Design. First off any one who names their business after a song by my beloved Jimmy Eat World is a already friend of mine. The party was such a blast & there were beautiful touches everywhere I turned! The fresh flower cooler is my idea of heaven- complete with artichokes & of course some vino!

I loved the old world french feel of this display shelf complete with ladder. The entire space had a fresh, but at times slightly retro vibe that local stylist, Stephanie Bradshaw of Bradshaw Styling helped bring to life.

They served the most gorgeous signature cocktail called the "Clover" at the event & it is the most perfect summer drink!

• Muddle fresh Basil with 2 wedges of lime


• Fill cup with ice & add 2 ounces ginger liqueur (try Canton brand)


• Add 1/2 ounce white rum


• Top with a splash of Gingerale & orchid as garnish

Of course I felt the need to stimulate the local economy & scooped up this fabulously interesting Dichondra also seen in the 2nd photo from above. Isn't it so unusual? It's like the plant version of ZZ Top's beards- let's hope I don't kill it!

I also picked up this fabulous Basil centerpiece that looks much neater in person. It's very dense & lush in its simple, classic glass bowl. It's something I would definitely replicate as a housewarming gift, since you can actually use it & it smells divine! I wish owner, Amy Epstein, the best of luck with her new location! I'm finally headed to see SATC this weekend- I can't wait! What are you guys up to? Have a great weekend beauties!

Life Changing

Wow. I'm currently about half way thru reading this book & let me tell you- I'm horrified. Don't let the the title fool you, it's not a trendy diet book. Rather the book is an expose on what we're really putting into our mouths & it's not pretty. I first starting reading it about a year ago, got 15 pages in & put it down. I was totally overwhelmed. I can honestly say this book might be life changing for me. Never has a book made me think the way that I am about what to eat & what's going into my body. I feel like trail mix has been my main food group over the last few days, since yes I've been that disgusted. Have any of you gals read it? Who's a vegetarian or vegan out there? As intense as it is, I really think it's worth the read even if it's to make our food industry more accountable. Let me know your thoughts beauties, I'm off to find a liquor store that carries organic wine to help me cope!

Memorial Day Weekend

Phew! Where did the holiday weekend go? I was up in Connecticut for my cousin's wedding. I had the privilege of doing his bride's make-up & will post on that when I have better pics!

The flowers were done by the bride's aunt & were stunning. Fuschia & white peonies were everywhere!

Here are just some of my great cousins- Henry & Jenna after dancing most of the night away. My dad is one of five boys, so we take over when we come in to town!




I was having my hair done while doing the bride's make-up & was shocked that it had held up so well after all the dancing. This pic was the first time I had seen it, I had been in such a rush the whole day. I thought it looked really classic. Tell me beauties, what did you do over the weekend? Did you get a chance to relax?
