OMG CEW
Probably as we speak my beauties I'm en route home from NYC. I will also probably still be on a make-up high! Last night I attended my first ever CEW Beauty Awards(basically the Oscars of Beauty!) I can't wait to tell you all about it!

Files From the Brow Whisperer
(L) Before (R) Immediately After
A lot of times clients who have very light hair or not a lot of brows are hesitant to have them shaped. Fear not fair maidens! Waxing helps define whatever shape you have. Always talk with your technician about what you want & don't want, often I am very conservative & just grooming the strays- which still can make a big difference. It removes the little peach fuzz, so the skin looks younger and smoother and make-up is more easily applied. When you go for a professional waxing, your technician can give the illusion of a fuller brow- oh yes we have ways! It always gives a more lifted look to the brow bone, I swear an expert brow shaping can take ten years of the look of your face!

Clarisonic Opal
What's the latest scientific gadget from the makers of the Clarisonic? The Clarisonic Opal. The Opal’s soothing sonic action claims that it"gently infuses the serum into the epidermis to help refresh and renew the appearance of delicate skin around your eye area." Clinical studies showed that when participants used the device for just a minute a day, they saw an immediate reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles; with results lasting for hours and building over time. It promises younger looking skin, skin that appears refreshed and energized, skin that appears brighter and healthier. But wait there's more! It also says it will deliver improved skin texture, noticeably firmer skin and increased skin hydration.
So yes, sign me up for some of that! But how do my beauties feel about adding yet another gadget to their repertoire? Especially one so pricey at $245( it should be called the diamond!)
The Opal is meant to be used only with the included Anti–Aging Sea Serum which comes in a cartridge(I would be the rebel who tried it with other eye products). Dr. Robb Akridge, PhD, specifically optimized this serum for the dynamics of sonic infusion. Have any of my beauties tried it out there? Lord knows I love the Clarisonic cleansing brush, so let me know if you think the Opal is a true gem or if you'd consider purchasing it!

Make-Up Must Have Monday
Don't be late- for this very important date with Paul & Joe Beaute's limited edition launch of Alice in Wonderland products or you'll be Mad as a Hatter that you missed them! The launch includes two collectible tins that each contain a limited edition lip treatment stick and their fabulous blotting papers.
The Daydream Collection (002) featuring a wash of baby blue
The Fantasy Collection (001)featuring soft shades of pale pink.

The Fantasy Collection(001) in detail (above & below)

As an esthetician I'm a huge fan of blotting papers! These super cute cases also house a mirror & make a rather mundane experience instantly whimsical & glamorous. For us gals with oily skin, you don't want to keep applying powders to control shine. That can lead to your make-up looking cakey and possibly cause break outs!
The lip treatment sticks are extremely sheer, but pack a serious punch when it comes to moisture. They leave a soft veil of protection that's infused with organic olive oil, apricot oil, and jojoba oil. These gorgeous kits will roll out on our online store PeaceLoveLipgloss ,the same day Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland rolls out into theaters- March 5th! Make sure you grab them while you can, since when they're gone, there's no 'Drink Me' magic potion to bring them back!

Confessions of a Beauty Junkie
Now I'm in trouble! I was trying so hard to be good, really I was! Then I found out Neiman Marcus is also having a beauty event as we speak and all bets are off! Cuter bag(sorry Saks, they win this go around-I will be getting the darker denim version!)? Check. Gift with Chloe perfume purchase? Check.
What's on my wishlist? Trish McEvoy's Little Black Card in Champagne Truffle looks like a great collection, chock full of wearable colors I will actually use. Not one dud in the offering!
Neiman Marcus also carries the hard to find Armani Beauty line(always an Allure Magazine favorite for their foundations) This shadow palette looks to die for and is appropriately named "Eyes to Kill." With a palette like this, you wouldn't need any others(I shudder at the thought!)
This gorgeous Guerlain palette. I wouldn't want to even use it! I think I need to start displaying products like these around my home! This is beautiful enough to be in anyone's art collection! Since snow is headed our way again *sigh* it definitely looks like I'll be seeking comfort in a little online retail therapy!
Peace. Love. Lipgloss.

Wishlist Wednesday
It's one of my favorite times of the year girleens! No it's not a holiday, but rather it's Saks' Beauty Event time! With any purchase of $75 of more you get a tote( I will comment- who designed the pattern on that thing?) filled with deluxe samples & irresistible offers!
I have been quite honest about my adoration of gifts with purchase & the frenzy that ensues making sure I get mine! What rates top on my wish list? Chantecaille's new Les Dauphins Palette- another stunning work of art launched by them.
If you've been a long time reader you know that I need another perfume like a hole in the head. Partner in Crime just picked up a bottle of Chloe however, and now I'm craving it! Specific brands will be offering their own additional gifts with purchase, so check it out. What tops your list? The event starts tomorrow, just enter code: PURE at checkout.
