About Me

My photo
This make-up artist and esthetician has a (bordering on unhealthy) addiction to all things beauty! No amount of eyeshadows or cream liners will ever be enough! I go giddy for all things girly. Lipgloss might not be able to heal the world, but it can lift a gal's spirits!

Behind The Scenes at WBAL

So bright & early this past Sunday morning, our Diva of Dermatology, Dr. Noelle Sherber & yours truly were featured in a segment on Baltimore's WBAL TV focusing on erasing the sins of the summer from your skin. Here we are before going on air joined by our fabulous Marketing Maven, Quinn. We were all rocking out some serious concealer as we had to get up at 5:00AM- have I mentioned what a joy I am to be around in the early morning hours?
Here we are getting ready for the segment, with my necklace doing something wonky. Note: when you see yourself on tv all you ever notice is what's wrong!

Here I am talking about home care & professional options for treating hyperpigmentation after a summer of worshipping the sun. I joke that I have no idea what I said(ha ha!), because the cameras are robots & I was so focused on where I was supposed to be looking. However, in case you missed our informative awesomeness- I'll go over tips & tricks for 'fall'ing back in love with your skin as we head into the cooler seasons the rest of the week.

Hats Off to the Preakness!

So our Local Area Baltimore Chevy Dealers & WBAL TV were kind enough to let the Baltimore Chevy Girls experience Preakness 2011! It's been such a fun project to be a part of. Even though I was born & raised in Baltimore- this was my first time at Preakness. What is it known for? Well, besides horses? Hats girleens! Every where I looked, there were hats galore! These lovely ladies were rocking it out & posed with fellow Chevy Girl Lara in her very own commissioned Maryland themed hat!

Here Lara & I are with WBAL TV's Lisa Robinson (L) & Mindy Basara in the yellow hat. We were interviewed about being Chevy Girls on the Go & on a live tv segment! I love this picture, since you can tell Lara & I don't normally wear hats- as we're struggling to see out of ours! In fact, when I got to see myself in the tv segment- you really could only see my mouth most of the time, as my hat was trying to swallow me whole!
This was probably my most favorite fascinator I saw- the photograph doesn't do it justice. It just worked & though it was very artistic- it didn't overwhelm her. The fascinator was by Christine Moore from Hats in the Belfry.

As luck would have it, I found out that Hats in the Belfry had a booth at Preakness so I got to try on my very own Christine Moore fascinator! If this one had been in black instead of navy I seriously would have scooped it up. But, then again maybe it would be to much to wear to work- what do you think? :)

This creation looked almost like a confection! Doesn't she look like a doppelganger of Kristen Dunst? Regardless she was fluffy & fabulous in that hat!

This woman was working it! Bedecked & bedazzled, this vision in purple said she scored her entire ensemble from JC Penny late the night before- who knew?! Don't worry horse lovers out there, I'm promise I'll post more on the actual race, but you know moi- fashion first!

Sweat Proof Summer Make-Up

I had the amazing opportunity to be the beauty expert this past weekend on WBAL, our #1 local news channel!
It was a thrilling, yet nerve racking experience. But I am proud to say that I did not faint or stutter( even when a dog barked from another segment!) I was up at the crack of dawn to get myself beautified before my 6:30 AM call time. It was so neat seeing the behind the scenes of how the news is filmed. It's actually very mellow, calm and quiet on the sound stage(besides my heart that was thumping a mile a minute!)
I had expected camera men, but all of the cameras are motorized, so it was just the anchors, one producer, 2 other guests and little old moi on the set. The segment was on sweat proof summer make-up, so make sure to check back tomorrow to see the products that made the cut to be one of my picks!
