About Me

My photo
This make-up artist and esthetician has a (bordering on unhealthy) addiction to all things beauty! No amount of eyeshadows or cream liners will ever be enough! I go giddy for all things girly. Lipgloss might not be able to heal the world, but it can lift a gal's spirits!

Girleens, can you believe tomorrow is December 1st!? You know that means holiday festivities will soon be underway! La Papillon is a proud sponsor of Tartans & Tidings this December 11th in Baltimore. Besides the fact that it's going to be a fabulous shindig with open bar, heavily butlered hor d'oeuvres & the amazing Burnt Sienna playing- a portion of the proceeds with be benefiting Baltimore tutoring programs. It's a win win! Did I mention the VIP gift bags, however? I'll let you in on a little secret, just La Papillon Spa alone will be having over $150 worth of loot in those puppies- score! Sky Blue Events is giving away a pair of 2 VIP tickets($250 value!), with its Preppy Plaid Photo Contest! Just email a photo of you wearing something fabulous & plaid- shoes, accessories, whatever! Plaid not really your style, but you want to do an awesome inspiration board? Perfect, just make sure to credit the source & photographer. All entries will be posted on Sky Blue Events blog on December 2nd & readers will vote on who's the best! Winner will be picked Friday December 3rd. Good Luck Beauties!

Oxfords & Oysters

Saturday's Oxfords & Oysters Event was such fun, I wish my beauties could have been there!
Lovely Ladies Jennifer(l) & Quinn(r) of Sky Blue events greeted us upon arrival.

The much anticipated VIP swag bags!

A glimpse of the loot- I think my favorite item is the crab lucite tray by Nico and Lala- it's the perfect catch all for earrings & rings. As it even says on the tag, it's "tray chic!"

I love live music, but had never seen Burnt Sienna play. I've been missing out! They were amazing & could play anything they had such great range.
Not a cloud in the sky the whole day, the weather could not have been any better!

Movie Girl & I at the event.
Our Diva of Dermatology, Dr. Noelle Sherber & I after we danced the day away! And because we're all about beautiful skin, I'm giving away an Obagi Elastiderm Eye Cream valued at $95! So leave a comment & spread the word girleens!

Oxfords & Oysters

You know this girleen loves good swag. I also love a good cause & while we're at it- a good cocktail! Tomorrow I'll be at Oxfords & Oysters at Little Havanna enjoying all of those things! What can I say? Live music + open bar+ gorgeous weather= happy camper.
The event, thrown by the superbly chic Sky Blue Events, benefits the Oyster Recovery Partnership. For every $100 raised by this event 400 oysters will be reharvested back into the bay. Let's face it- our bay needs all the help it can get! Oysters aren't just good for pearls & seafood, they also purify and clean the bay.
There are a limited number of VIP tickets remaining which gets you the ultimate in swag! I already scooped mine up & word has it the retail value is close to $500(insert squeal here!)
Preppy products galore are in the gift bag- including Obagi, Vineyard Vines, True Prep, Boatman Geller & Southern Proper just to name a few. It will take a lot of will power to wait until I get home to inspect the loot! I, of course will post pictures on Monday & might even share some of my bounty if you're lucky. So if you're in the area- hope to see you there!

Hershey's Better Basket: Blog Hop

Ahhh Easter is just around the corner. Screen doors are left open to let in fresh air... The sun tempts us with her beautiful rays while creating a smidge of fear that skimpy clothes season draws near! Easter baskets overflow with all sorts of goodies to sabotage all hopes of cutting out carbs! The best treat(calorie free!) I'm getting for Easter? My favorite girl Laura of Chicken Nuggets of Wisdom bestowing her Virtual Better Basket to yours truly! Not only am I feeling the love, but due to this blog hop money is being donated to the Children's Miracle Network. It's a win win! Who do I pass the torch (ahem basket) to? Actually two lovely ladies: (1)The fabulous Kelly of Gouldylox Reviews who besides becoming a good friend(we're both obsessed with movies & make-up)- gives back to our local community through her amazing organization Karma Dogs & (2) The lovely Jennifer of Sky Blue Events- not just because she can whip up a fabulous cocktail or throw an elegant event(well that doesn't hurt), but because she's been instilling a philanthropic nature in her young daughter ever since I've known her.
